There are so many ways to carry out a money exchange, and they are all pretty simple. Let us assume that you have a relative based abroad – in a country which uses a currency different to yours. You need to send that relative £300 or their local equivalent. The cheapest way to do this is to log online and look for a good money transfer service. Sometimes these are called ‘remittance’ services. They will carry out the money exchange in around 2 to 3 business days and won’t charge you for it. There are other services like Paypal but these require that both the sender and recipient have an email account.
